Soul Revue – The 70’s Edition is about focusing on and paying respect to soul music from the early 70’s, when the live performances from some of the greatest entertainers in the history of music began to make headlines, and the musical energy exploded into something bigger than itself.
While Al Green, The Temptations, Roberta Flack and other great soul singers were hoping to rescue dying neighborhoods and veer political turmoil through incredible creativity, Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight took control of their careers and addressed both social issues and matters of the heart in new ways. Incredible, prolific music resulted from this true Golden Age of Soul Music.
We have gathered some of the best local singers, musicians, visual designers, theater professionals, and marketing minds and combined them with the premier venue in Tacoma, to create an audiovisual trip back in time. Soul Revue – The 70’s Edition.
